CONDITIONS
By booking or participating in the Global Squash Festival and any related events, competitions, experiences, or services (the “Event”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”).
The Event is organised by BGCJ LLC, a Utah, USA limited liability company d/b/a Global Squash Festival (“Organiser”).
If you make a booking on behalf of others, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf, and that all participants in your booking are bound by them.
1. Booking Contract
A binding contract is formed when your booking is confirmed in writing by the Organiser following receipt of the required deposit or full payment.
You are responsible for ensuring all booking details are accurate, including participant names as they appear on official travel documents where applicable.
All participants must be 18 years or older unless otherwise approved in writing by the Organiser.
2. Event Structure & SquashLevels System
The Global Squash Festival uses the SquashLevels rating system to structure fair and competitive play.
Players are placed into divisions, draws, and/or groups based on their SquashLevels rating to ensure balanced competition.
Depending on entries, formats may include group stages, round-robin play, knockout draws, and/or placement matches.
The Organiser reserves the right to adjust:
- draw sizes
- group structures
- match formats
- scheduling
to ensure competitive balance, operational efficiency, and overall event quality.
3. Booking & Payment Terms
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
For bookings made more than 100 days before the Event, the remaining balance must be paid by the deadline provided at confirmation.
For bookings made within 100 days of the Event, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Failure to complete payment by the required deadline may result in cancellation of the booking without notice.
4. Changes to Booking
All booking changes are subject to availability and approval by the Organiser.
This includes changes to accommodation, dates, or participant details. Additional charges may apply.
5. Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- More than 90 days before arrival: Refund of amounts paid, less a 10% administration fee
- 65–90 days before arrival: Credit toward a future Global Squash Festival event
- Less than 65 days before arrival: No refund or credit
The 20% deposit is strictly non-refundable in all cases.
6. Force Majeure (Event Cancellation or Disruption)
The Organiser shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, disease outbreaks, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
In such circumstances, the Organiser may:
- issue a credit toward a future Global Squash Festival event, and/or
- reschedule the Event at its discretion
If the Event is cancelled due to under-enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
7. Competition Participation
Participants agree to:
- compete in accordance with their assigned SquashLevels division
- adhere to match schedules and tournament rules
- follow instructions from event staff and officials
The Organiser may modify match schedules, court allocations, or draw structures where necessary for operational or sporting reasons.
No refunds or compensation will be provided for matches not played due to withdrawal, default, or participant scheduling conflicts.
8. Liability
The Organiser’s liability is strictly limited to the total amount paid for the Event.
The Organiser is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, insurance, or personal expenses.
No refunds or compensation shall be provided for delays, interruptions, weather events, or other circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control.
9. Schedule Changes
The Organiser reserves the right to modify the Event schedule, format, venues, or programming where necessary due to operational, logistical, safety, or external circumstances.
Any additional costs arising from such changes remain the responsibility of the participant.
10. Travel, Insurance & Documentation
Participants are responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents, visas, and appropriate insurance coverage.
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses and emergencies is strongly recommended.
11. Third-Party Services
The Event may include services provided by third-party suppliers (including hotels, transport providers, venues, and activity partners).
The Organiser is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of third-party suppliers.
12. Media & Marketing Consent
By participating in the Event, you consent to the use of photographs, video, or other media featuring you for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
14. Amendments
The Organiser reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on the official Global Squash Festival website and is deemed accepted upon publication.
